question about primrose

I have read that an infusion of the flowers was considered excellent against nervous hysterical disorders. Now I am not sure if I should believe some plant could do such a thing. That is why I would like you to tell me if you agree with this point of view and if you believe it can work

Properties:
Anti-aggregatory, anti-atherogenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-proliferative, anti-thrombotic, vasodilator

What the Science Says
• Evening primrose oil may have modest benefits for eczema, and itmay be
useful for rheumatoid arthritis and breast pain. However, study resultsare
mixed, and most studies have been small and not well designed.
• Evening primrose oil does not appear to affect menopausal symptoms.
• Although some clinical trials have shown a benefit of evening primroseoil
for premenstrual syndrome, the best-designed trials found no effect.
• There is not enough evidence to support the use of evening primroseoil for
other health conditions.
