Hello Nathalie,
Navarakizhi is a very well known and highly effective method used in the Kerala Ayurveda system. A special variety of rice is cooked and packed in cloth pouches and then immersed in medicated warm milk. This is then used to massage the entire body for an hour by four therapists. Navarakizhi is applied after Abhyanga. It is proved to be highly beneficial for patients with paralytic strokes, debility, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Navarakizhi can also be used for general rejuvenation purposes for persons with no specific complaints, as it can strengthen tissues, reduce body aches and decelerate the ageing process.
